TOKYO -- Tamaki Osaka, mother of tennis star Naomi Osaka, recently published a book in Japanese with a title that translates to English as "Through the Tunnel: Just One More Day, My Days of Chasing a Reckless Dream."
Osaka says that she and daughter Naomi are exactly alike. Her life, which she spent fighting for the freedom to make her own decisions, is more dramatic than fiction. She is a woman of bold action, and the source of her famous daughter's "Japanese-ness."
